VP, Investment Specialist, Value Equities
The Investment Specialist is a member of a team of investment professionals dedicated to the advocacy and positioning of one of the Company's 5 core asset classes - Growth, Value, Fixed Income, US Blend Strategies and Global Blend Strategies. The Investment Specialist's primary responsibility is to develop and enhance the positioning of our investment services and to disseminate that message primarily internally. Responsibilities include: Development of Investment Message; Develop product analytics and message for new and existing investments; Support performance positioning through competitive analysis of portfolios vs market benchmarks, peer universes and key competitors.; Turn results of analysis into sales ideas and new arguments for presentations for both existing focus portfolios and new launches.; Work with Marketing to develop new marketing collateral and evaluate effectiveness of currently available materials; Work with other members of Retail Investment Group, Portfolio Management, Sales, Marketing, and RFP to ensure consistency of product message throughout all corporate communications. Requirements include: BS/BA - concentration in Marketing/Finance preferred; 5 to 6 years experience with investments, either in sales, marketing or product management and/or 3 to 4 years experience in research or quantitative measurement. Derivatives and Fixed Income Product Controller
A leading global Investment Bank is seeking smart, dynamic Analysts/Associates to join their team. You will be interacting with Traders, the Sales team and Senior Management, gaining a solid understanding of how products are traded and their impact on the financials. Daily production of profit and loss reports. P&L analysis based on "greek" measurements (delta, gamma, kappa). Interact with traders throughout the day. Reconcile p&l results to settlement and subledger systems. Booking general ledger entries for derivative transactions. Assist with system implementation. Work with groups globally to ensure best practices. Strong accounting and mathematical skills, preferably CPA or ACA. Public accounting and/or financial services experience. Knowledge of US GAAP. Investment Management Division Valuation Group
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing valuation oversight for exotic and illiquid derivatives held in strategies managed by the Investment Management business. They will assist in the review of portfolio performance and reconciliation with desk estimates - particularly as it relates to those strategies, which hold exotic or illiquid derivatives. The candidate will interact with controllers' management as well as investment professionals engaged in managing a multi-strategy investment portfolio. Must have: Minimum of 3-5 years relevant work experience (public and / or private); An understanding of valuation methods for complex derivatives - including variance swaps, credit default swaps, and inflation linked interest rate products; Strong interpersonal (verbal and written communication) skills; Experience in the financial markets and the investment management industry is preferred. Valuation Review Group - Institutional Equities
A leading Global Investment Bank is looking for professionals to: Perform/Review the month-end independent price testing for all Institutional Equities Division business lines and all products including cash and derivatives. Propose and implement new valuation methodologies, working closely with the trading desk, quantitative analysis team, controllers, and global VRG groups. Review complex trade bookings, ensuring that trade economics are accurately reflected. Help create an effective control framework for this process. Integral involvement in all projects (Finance and Front Office) that impact valuation, reporting infrastructure, and financial controls. Implementation of new volatility surfaces, valuation tools for mark review process, global standardization of reporting, etc. Proactively follow new product approval process and formulate valuation issues on newly proposed products and models. Understand and interpret new accounting guidelines, adopting necessary changes to processes. Experience Required: Advanced Excel/VBA. Experience with derivatives pricing library add-in. Programming languages (e.g. C/C++) helpful. Effective and assertive communication skills. Ability to understand and interpret technical documentation on new products, models, and accounting policy. Technical Specialist, Associate/VP - Operations Project Services
Operations Project Services (OPS) acts as a center of project management excellence for Operations. The group plans and executes cross-Operations projects with significant risk and/or strategy implications in partnership with project teams throughout Operations. OPS facilitate project management knowledge and resource sharing, oversees consulting vendor management, and provides project management consulting and training. Principal Responsibilities include: In conjunction with Operations project teams, conduct analysis of business functions to plan, scope and define projects; Develop requirements documents and translate those requirements into project deliverables; Develop project plans and manage implementation, including milestones, issues, and risks tracking and communication; Build and manage relationships between various users groups, technologists, and management on various high priority projects impacting Operations; Monitor and understand the processes within Operations and determine where a risk or lack of control might be addressed with a current or proposed project. Experience / Skills Bachelor degree; Strong business analysis skills and logical mindset; Project management experience in both business process and technology implementations; Strong communication and interpersonal skills both written and oral; confident in interaction with all levels of employees; Self motivated: proven track record of completing projects and achieving results independently; Working knowledge of the business flows in the financial services industry is a plus, as is related experience in business process development or management consulting.
